When the weather turns colder, there’s nothing quite like taking your date to a cozy hot spring. Jiletang Hotspring in Putuo is one of those fancy public bath houses where you can lounge, chat, and even play game consoles while enjoying the warmth. It’s a great way to unwind and have a more intimate date without too many distractions. These places make you feel like kings and queens and are just so relaxing.

If you’re around the newer part of Jing’an, particularly Daning Park, this area has plenty of great options for a relaxed date. Start with a stroll through the park and then head to Jiuguang Mall, where you’ll find an IMAX cinema for a movie date. After the movie, there are plenty of great food choices nearby, making it a perfect all-in-one date.

Hongkou district has undergone many transformations in the past decade; the North Bund Park, right opposite the Sinar Mars Complex, is an excellent location for a date. It is spacious and has a beautiful view of Lujiazui. There is also a Magic Jungle Rope course that adults can also participate in, while Sinar Mars is also a great mall to hang out at. The W Hotel Terrace is definitely my favourite spot to have a date, get a drink, and enjoy the view from the terrace. Another favourite thing I love doing is going to the Pearl to enjoy some of the BEST live performances. You can follow them on their WeChat official account to view their monthly calendar, buy tickets directly on their WeChat miniprogram, and pick a show from a great variety that you both are interested in enjoying the show with your love!
